They have some extra security layers. I think it's called multi-factor authentication for SIM management. Makes it way harder for someone to just steal your number.

For real, no KYC. It's great if you're big on privacy. Just make sure you understand how that might affect certain things, like if you ever needed to report it stolen to the police or something, though I haven't had issues.

Cloaked is way more privacy-focused. Mint is just cheap data. If SIM swap protection and not giving up your data is important, Cloaked is the way to go. It's not as budget-focused as Mint, though.

Totally different beasts. Mint is a budget carrier, Cloaked is for privacy. You'll pay more for Cloaked but you get the security features and no KYC. Mint doesn't offer any of that SIM swap stuff.
